What is IWT?

I Was There (IWT) is a free service which optimizes the way people share and celebrate life’s big events.  Unite with countless others over common interests and share the excitement of life’s most memorable moments. Not only does IWT allow you to “Capture Your Moment,” enabling you to record important life events as they happen, post them instantly and preserve them for the future, it also allows for sharing with other IWT users and commenting on content. IWT also offers the opportunity to wear and share your “wow” moments with customizable I Was There Gear available in our shop.

What are some of the benefits of using IWT?

IWT provides a platform on which users can share their photos and videos instantly and comment on their own content as well as other users’ content.  Furthermore, IWT has innovated new ways of sharing and expanded the experience of capturing life’s most meaningful moments by providing the ability to join channels which are developed using common interests. This allows users to meet and interact with like-minded people and share life experiences with users who share their passions. In the IWT shop, our users are also able to take their memories and turn them into keepsakes. Anything from T-Shirts to Posters and more, users can create and purchase all types of memorabilia. Because IWT wants our users to be able cherish the moments they have captured in every way possible, we have also developed a mobile application with all the benefits of the full site in the palm of your hand.

What other services can be integrated with IWT?

Currently IWT connects easily with your Facebook or Twitter account as well as your email account and even Google Plus. Support for other services available soon.

What Platforms does IWT support?

Currently the I Was There Mobile Web Based Application is fully developed for most modern smart phones only. IWT is in the process of developing a Native app that will be compatible with both the iPhone and Android  platforms. Our mobile website offers a rich IWT experience to Android, iPhone and BlackBerry users. IWT is also compatible with all types of tablets.

What if I need technical support?

The IWT website has been developed to be user friendly and provide a seamless and pleasant experience. However should any technical questions arise The IWT team is always available to help.  Users can email any questions or concerns to support@myiwt.com

Do I have to create a new account with IWT?

A new profile must be created to enjoy all that IWT has to offer and we have made this process as convenient as possible by allowing our users to simply enter their Facebook or Twitter account information which will automatically create your IWT profile.

Can I control who sees my content?

IWT users have full control over where their content can be viewed and by whom. Upon uploading a photo or video, users are given options as to where they would like to post this content and these settings can be changed at any time after the initial upload.
